Chances are, you’ve only seen women in labor on Chances are, you’ve only seen women in labor on TV 📺 and in the movies 📽.

Those depictions of labor aren’t really...encouraging. Labor is presented as this dramatic, overwhelming event, in which women lose control.

Your experience during labor doesn’t have to be that way. You can TAKE CONTROL of pain during labor! 🎉

I’ve been in practice for nearly 15 years, so I’ve seen labor up close and personal hundreds and hundreds of times. Although it’s true that labor is intense, it doesn’t have to be something that’s dramatic, overwhelming, or feared.

To help you be in control of pain during labor, I’ve created a free guide where you can learn about all your options for managing labor pain. You'll learn about:
👉🏽 Techniques for medication-free pain management
👉🏽 Opioid medications
👉🏽 Nitrous oxide (although you may not be able to use this right now due to COVID)
👉🏽 Epidurals
👉🏽 The side effects and risks of each
👉🏽 The pros and cons of each

There’s no “right” way to manage pain in labor. The important thing is to do what works best for YOU.

You can grab the guide at www.drnicolerankins.com/pain (LINK IN BIO) and TAKE CONTROL of labor pain!

I wish you a beautiful pregnancy and birth! 💕

I love reading and have been more intentional abou I love reading and have been more intentional about taking time to do it. It's a great way to unwind, unplug, and learn new things. I tend to prefer non-fiction but do include an occasional fiction book.

I've received a few questions over the years about hepatitis in pregnancy, so here is the episode that answers all your questions! ❤️

I’m joined by Dr. Keisha Reddick (@drkeishalynn ) on this episode, her third episode with us! Dr. Reddick is a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor who works in high-risk obstetrics. She has been in practice for over a decade offering total care: delivering babies, giving prenatal care and consults, and directing protocols for her labor and delivery unit.

On this episode of the podcast, she discusses what exactly hepatitis is, the different types, how common it is, how it is transmitted, and much more. She then shares with you how hepatitis can affect your prenatal care, labor & deliver, and the postpartum period.

And then we also talk a bit about the importance of keeping up to date with vaccinations and your overall health before and between pregnancies. This episode is absolutely packed with great information! I know you’re going to find it incredibly helpful and informative.

After listening in to this episode, I would love to hear your thoughts and questions. So definitely comment below with those. ⬇️
