I mean who doesn't want a good massage?!?!? Prena I mean who doesn't want a good massage?!?!?
Prenatal massage can be so helpful to ease those aches and discomforts of pregnancy and reduce stress.
But don't forget these important tips:
Be sure the practitioner is licensed to perform prenatal massage.
You should not be on your stomach or flat on your back during the massage.
The practitioner should stay away from your abdomen and focus on your neck, shoulders, head, arms, legs, and back.
Strokes will be lighter and gentler as deep tissue massage is not recommended in pregnancy.
And one more thing...many places don't do prenatal massage in the first trimester, for fear of an association with miscarriage (although there is no research to support that).
Have you or do you plan to get a prenatal massage? Do you have any more questions about it?

➡️These professionals can be vital to your health and wellbeing to help you during your pregnancy with pelvic pain and pushing techniques and during postpartum to help with healing especially if you had vaginal tears or you're having issues with incontinence or pain with sex.
➡️Did you know that your OB wasn't trained on this? (unless of course they took another certification).
💕So, if you can, go to the pelvic therapy professionals during your pregnancy and postpartum!
Tell me below, did you see a pelvic floor physical therapist?
Or, are you planning on it?
